The elections of January 20 fail; The compromis for another date is expected!

Even though the majority has insisted up to now for election on the date decreed by th president that is on January 20 the last events made them fail. Today the political parties should have begun their election campaign but practically and legally the beginning of this campaign is seemingly impossible since there is no candidate registered for the beginning of the competition and winning after a month the direction of municipalities and communes.

The local commissions could not be raised on the predetermined date and this made the registration process of the candidates fail. According to the election code it is determined that the registration of the candidates in the local commissions ends 32 days before the elections that was yesterday. 30 days before the elections these commissions verify the documentation. The only judicial space that can still consider open the process is the rule that when the commission sees that the documents of the candidate are not proper, he is given the right to correct them.
