Topi: The election date innegotiable; The opposition should leave vain insisteneces

To take the political responsibility to boycot is not justifyable by anyone, even the internationals openly expressed that it is an unprecedental case, despite the level of democratic development of a country this was made by none. So declared the head of the parliamentary group of PD, Bamir Topi who in a prounanciation for media said that “there a democratic rule that elections require the presence of majority and opposition and the opposition is avoiding this rule by not using the right to take part in the kompetition.”

Topi made a short comparison of the actual situation with that of the previous elections saying that “in the past too we had the same problems we we have entered the elections but now things are being taken with prejudicebecause the elections must be held first and then, based on facts there is the possibility to be conteseted.” According to the number two of PD the main goal of the opposition has been, from the beginning, the failure of the elections. “Today we are in a situation where not only the political factor in PD but the president of the republic and the international factors are refering to what is the most important, the constitutional frame. The first handicap arising today is the realization what the opposition has warned about, the failure of the elections. This is not the matter of an individual but of the insittutions because people are waiting to arrange their relationships with the local authority which is not only the Tirana Municipality but hundreds of zones practically far from vital services,” he emphasised.

About the election campaign Topi said that PD is proceeding with the plan for the realization of the election campaign for Tirana Municipality and that the campaign plan is proceeding in two directions. “Concretely, in the political plan in which the candidate Sokol Olldashi is unfolding step by step firstly what he has done as minister of Interior, where he has been very successful,” Topi said.
