Berisha: We are ready to collaborate with the opposition to improve the election process

We are ready to collaborate with the opposition to improve the election process. So declared the prime minister Berisha after the meeting with the president of the parliamentary assemble of OSBE Lennmarker. He said “I informed Mr. Lennmarker for all reforms made by the government and informed about the preparations made fot the elections. In the practice of the international institutions is to listen all the parties and there has not been any special demand but I have heard all needed explanations about this issue.”

Berisha said that the elections were the main point of the meeting with Lennmarker. “Elections were of course an issue of the discussing agenda and I reised it but Mr. Lennmarker will meet the representer of the opposition too and the opposition will raise its issues. The government is ready to take any needed step for free anbd honest elections, respecting the laws and the constitution. The opposition is invited and welcomed and we are ready to vote, since tomorrow, all the amendments having to do with the August agreement.”

Even though he is ready for a compromis with the opposition Berisha has not accepted any debate on the postponing of the election date “We can not negotiate what is not in our competences if we are to refer to the laws and the consitution,” he said.
