LSI presents a legal platform for the solution of the election crisis
The Socialist Movement for Integration proposed today the approval in the parliament of changes of the dispositions of the elction code that have to do with three main issues such as the election date, the electors lists, the certificates as identification documents for elections but also the approval of the legal packett presented by now to the parliament by the opposition.
The representer of LSI Spartak Braho, in a press conference said that “LSI proposes that within the 28 of December of this year, the parliament should approve with consensus the packett of changes of the dispositions of the constitution and the election code proposed by the opposition.”
According to Braho as the election date should be taken the date when KQZ has announced the final results of the last local elections, according to which the mandate of the actual local governing organs end os February 20 of 2007. “This date is calculated taking as reference the date on which KQZ has announced the final result of the last local elections and in these conditions the postponing of the elections date is not a constitutional problem but can be realized through the change of the point 7/8 of the actual election code that foresees the time of elections. This can be realized through the composition of a temporary disposition,” said Braho.
About the lists issue that on basis of the election code passes through three phases like the updating of the lists, the announcement of the first lists and the announcement of the final lists, Braho proposes that within 3 weeks from this code the civil offices should make the updating of the lists, the heads of the local government units, after the updating of the lists publish the first lists in public places, and this should be done within 3 weeks. “After this process the head of the local government units announce the final lists,” said the member of LSI Directive Staff.
Braho proposes that in the elections should be used birth crtificate with photo, issued specially for these elections, issued not before the date of announcement of the first lists and that it should have been issued by the local unit where the elector figures in the list and should be after a model voted by not less then 6 members of KQZ.
