Rehn: The elections should be held according to standards; The boycott a sign of political immaturity
The commissioner for widening Olli Rehn said today in an inteview for BBC that if the elections are held within the standards there is no ned for boycott. “The essential thing is that the elections should be held according to the international standards and this we will value before, during and after the elections. I shoul say that I don’t see as a positive trend that in some countries of west Balkans there have been political boycotts, be them of elections or of the parliament. I don’t think it is a sign of the maturity of the democratic culture in those countries,” he said
