Majko: We are waiting for the promises of Berisha for compromis
It was the number two of PS Pandeli Majko who has reemphasised his party’s attitude for a necessary dialogue between the majority and opposition, In a press conference he said that “PS expects the negotiations for the standards guaranteeing legitime elections to be realized.”
“Now we all are sure that dialogue is more than needed to have free and honest elections in Albania. This dialogue con not be realized through pres conference halls in prime ministry, or in parliamentary group. We are waiting for negotiations, the more so after the yesterday declaration of the prime minister Berisha, to begin again with the negotiations where they were blocked,” Majko said.
According to him the parliamentary group of PS remains in expectance to pass into a procedure as fast as posible in the parliament the laws that wil be the products of the consensus, be that like the one arrived at on the constitution, and hoping that this be arrived at on the election code too, since it is being demanden by the internationals too.”
Majko emphasised that “Today the elections in Albania are not held for two simple reasons, for 70 thousand euros and 40 days defer of the elections. 70 thousand euros are needed for the certificates that can be issued within 4 days and I don’t know what could happen in Albania if the elections are postponned for some weeks. He said that the president himself has accepted a postponning of the election date in case of a compromis between parties.
