The opposition again abandons the parliament; No elections without standards!

While the opposition again has decided to boycott the today sitting of parliament its representers said that there can be no elections on January 20 since all legal periods of the election code have expired.

In a prounanciation for media the leader of Social Democracy Party, Paskal Milo pointed out that the opposition continue to demand the realization of standards, showing clear political will of being ready to sit for negotiations. He spoke against the possibility of elections on January 20 mentioning the expire of all periods determined by PD and the majority itself for the realization of standards within this date. On the other hand the leader of Socialdemocrat Party Skender Gjinushi has shared the same opinion with Milo. “This code is no longer valid sinca all its dates in it have expired so that the standards for the elections are not guaranteed. We will go to the parliamentary sitting to have our word and determine our attitude and also make the repeated call that there is no other way except the legal one to realize the standards.”

In the meanwhile, the secretary for Public Relationships of PS, Blendi Klosi, after the meeting of the parliamentary group of PS, said that “we will continue to stand the deceision taken long before for the parliamentary groups of the opposition not to participate in the parliamentary sittings. Representers of groups will express their opinion of all the opposition on the last attitudes and we will demand consensus and dialogue with the governing party.” “We will not participate in that parliament which abusively wants to manipulate the votes of the deputies and pass the code that beforehand should have been discussed in the Commission for Election Reform,” said Klosi.
