Xhafa: The opposition ready to negotiate; The decision of KQZ illegal

Fatmir Xhafa has expressed the readiness of the opposition to continue with the negotiations connected with the election reform. As representer of the opposition in the negotiating group Xhafa emphasized that the opposition is expecting an opportunity to negotiate with the majority to find a concrete solution for the coming elections not to be categorized as completely out of standards. The most important problem according to him is the issue of certificates that is keeping the preparations for the local elections of 20 January. The socialist representer regarded as illegal the decision of KQZ in connection with this matter. “We don’t have the legal basis for the rpeparation of the electors list because the point 60/1 refers to early elections. The elementary right of the citizens to vote is primary so we want the constitution to be respected because for us what is important is not the date but constitutional and legal standards,” Xhafa said.
