Madhi: With its decision the opposition is destroying the election process!

With its decision to refuse majority’s proposals the opposition is destroying the election process. SO said the leader of Republican Party’s Parliamentary group Arian Madhi while commenting the today decision of opposition parties. “With this decision, unavoidably we are going to the destruction of the process since in this situation elections can’t be held in Albania if respectable institutions will not function as they have till today,” Madhi said.

Though regarding as expected such a decision Madhi added that “the opposition does not have judicial and political arguments to present. It is refusing the packett while there was a possibility for the compromise. But as it seems the opposition gives full legitimity to its attitude since it has blocked the procces through the nonfunctioning of the units in second levels etc.”

The head of the republican parliamentary group accused the opposition that for the first time in 16 year of pluralism in Albania it openned the dangerous precedent by blocking, over the interests of the citizens and their constitutional guarantee to partake in elections the institutions dealing with the process re blocked. According to him “this process has been foreseen by the majority while it is itself a part of it just as the minority. So I think the responsibility should not be look for in the majority that since many months has given messages of a desire and will for compromise that was refused by the opposition and today we face an almost destroyed process.”
