Olldashi: The liberalisation of the visas is a step ahead towards integration
“The freedom of traveling in EU countries is very important for all Albanian citizens. It will enable a better human exchange but also one of ideas, businesses and cultures as well and certainly it is encouraging to the foreign investers.” This was the declaration of the Minister of Interior, Sokol Olldashi during a press conference where he emphasized the importance of the liberalisation of visas for Albanians who travel to the EU countries.
“This is a very important step, firstly for the european integration, secondly it will bring more traveling freedom to Albanians and thirdly it is a sign to the foreign investers that Albania is a safe country where they may come and invest. EU has taken the decision fdor the liberalisation of visas for Albanian citizens on the basis of the progres we have made, especially in the reestablishment of the law, the state of law, and in fighting the organised crime, traffics and in the arrestment of hunted persons. The declarations of Mr. Frattini are on the heals of the declarations of presenters of other sectors and I would mention the very positive comments made on our fight with crime in the Riga Meeting which opened the doors to the membership of Albania in the North Atlantic Alliance,” said Olldashi.
