Ramiz Alia: Enver Hoxha honors not only Gjirokastra but all Albania

In an interview given to an albanian daily, Ramiz Alia speaks, among others, about Enver Hoxha and his role. He defends Enver Hoxha and speaks approvingly on the issue of his monument in Gjirokastra. As he says: “Today, after pluralism I think it would be difficult to raise a monument like that which was at the center of Tirana but a bust of Enver at another point of the city can and should exist. However it is undisputable that Enver should join a place in his Gjirokastra. And I deem it wrong that his monument there was removed. Such a personality, the commander of the partizans who saved Albania from the fashist occupators established our country within the Global Antifashist Alliance, a leader that for 50 years put all his knowledge and abilities into the service of his fatherland honors not only Gjirokastra bul all Albania.
