Bode: From today on the minimal retire payments will be 10 thousand lek
From today on 242 thousand albanian retires will profit at least 10 thousand leks monthly. The news was gýven by the Mýnýster of Fýnances Ridvan Bode, during a press conference. He emphasised that “as the result of the politics applied in 2006 the minimal retirement income for cities being 8350 lek monthly, at the end of 2006 it will be 10 thopusand lek monthly. The minimal retirement income in villages was 3630 lek monthly at the beginning of 2006 while it will be 4310 lek monthly at the end of 2006.
According to Mr. Bode the retirement payments in the Republic of Albania in July of 2006 have began to rise. “The payment in cities have risen by 5% and in villages by 20%, according to the decision “For the Rising of Retirement Payments” and in country scale 517.073 retired persons have profitted, 360.096 of these being in cities and 156.977 in villages.
The Minister of Finances said that in order to rise the monthly income of the city retired persons, a compensation of up to 500 lek monthly has been foreseen for every person. According to him 167.660 retired persons from the cities have profitted up to 500 lek mothnly from the application of this politics with an annual financial effect of 962 million lek.
