Berisha invites the opposition to vote the amends: I guarantee honest elections
The prime minister Berisha has, while promising free and honest elections, invited the opposition to vote tomorrow in the Parliament the amend in connection with the elections. During a press conference the prime minister said that these amends are those presented to the parliament by the opposition itself and that they reflect all their requests signed in the pact in August between PD and PS. “The government is ready to take all the costs of the delegates of the opposition for this proces. The electors lists have, by 64%, been prepared by the local socialist governors and the other part by the local governors of other parties. But all these were compilated according to the requests of the opposition in the August pact,” said the prime minister Berisha.
He accused the opposition for not accepting the August pact because through that it gave over the blocking minority in the KQZ. “The postpone of the election date does not depend on us because it has been determined constitutionally. The mandates of the local elected persons are determined constitutionally and the request of the opposition for the elongation of the mandates have not found support from any jurist or national or international institution,” said Berisha.
In connection with the manner of the execution of the elections the prime minister said that it has been contacted a serious company.
