Berisha pleased by the international support in the summit of the European People Party
The prime minister Sali Berisha who participatde the summit of the European People Party said that “The process of Albania’s integration in EU is a great national project being supported by more than 92% of Albanian citizens.”
In a prounanciation for media, Berisha regarded as important the international support for Albania in the period it is passing. “I can tell that the opinion of the summit is that, for these countries, there is no perspective other than the european and that, on their realization and reaching the standards, these countries should and will integrate in EU. “In this summit there was a clearly more favorable disposition for Balkan countries and Kosovo. The german chancellor Merkel emphasised that Bosnia and Kosovo can have no other perspective other than the european,” Berisha said.
Berisha also said that in the summit “issues of energy were discussed, as there were different thoughts on Turkey’s progress towards EU and matter about the constitution too,” said the prime minister.
