Moisiu greets Mr. Biberaj for his election in the EC

The president of the Republic. Mr Alfred Moisiu has congratulated today
Mr. Aleksander Biberaj on the occasion of his election as the vice-chairman
of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and as the Vice
chairman in the Group of Popular Parties. During a meeting in the Presidency
building, the head of the state considered the election of Mr.Biberaj
in this new important duty as positive and also a very good news for the
country but above he considered his election as a positive message
which means that young Albanian politicians can worthily represent Albania
among international institutions. “I’d wish your experience from the EC
Assembly to serve as an example for the Albanian Parliament as well.”-
emphasized the president during the dispute with Mr. Biberaj. In the meantime,
another important position in the Council of Europe is trusted to Mrs. Lajla
Pernaska. She has been elected as the Chief of the Commission on Social
Issues.
