The 94-th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Albania is celebrated
The Armed Forces of Albania celebrated the 94-th anniuversary of their foundation. In the ceremony held participated the prime minister Sali Berisha, the Minister of Defence Fatmir Mediu, other members of the governal cabinet, diplomatic representor in Tirana and army members of FASH
In his speech the Minister of Defence Fatmir Mediu emphasised that “94 year before the Government of Ismail Kemal took, as one of the first, the decision for the creation of the defence forces, namely of the Armed Forces of the Albanian people. It was an important decision because it constituted the spinal cord of the newly created Albanian state. The history of the Armed Forces is full of reformations, deformations and transformations but the Armed Forces enjoy the respect of the people and the certain support of the Albanian government and people.” The Minister of Defence added that we tend to go always ahead, to integrate the phisionomy of the Armed Forces of Albania and provide ther euroatlantisation. This is our goal and the program of the government for the Armed Forces.”

The Constitutional Court has accused the parliament members for unjustice towards the General Prosecutor Theodhori Sollaku. Despite deeming rightful the raise of the Investigational Parliamentary Commission the Constitutional Court has accused the Parliament of exceeding its authority.
