Tiranë, 5 Shkurt NOA - Fondacioni Vodafone
Albania demonstron gjithnjë e më shumë mbështetjen dhe përkushtimin për të
ndihmuar popullsinë në nevojë. Gjatë muajit janar 2010, Fondacioni ishte një
nga institucionet e para që iu përgjigj me përkushtim dhe shpejtësi emergjencës
humanitare krijuar nga përmbytjet në zonën e Shkodrës.

Greva shpjegon se në raste të tilla emergjencash është parësore shpejtësia me
të cilën reagohet.
Sipas z. Greva, vetëm pak ditë pasi përmbytja
kishte dëmtuar qindra shtëpi e mijëra hektarë toke, Fondacioni Vodafone Albania
iu përgjigj menjëherë nevojave imediate të familjeve të dëmtuara duke mundësuar
paketa ushqimesh, artikujsh sanitarë dhe batanijesh.
Në sajë të këtij operacioni efektiv në
bashkëpunim me Kryqin e Kuq Shqiptar, përfituan direkt 400 familje të zonave më
të dëmtuara në Livadhe, Bahcallëk, Vukatanë, Kuc dhe Ajasen.
Por ndihma nuk mbaron këtu, Një shumë prej
11.000.000 lekë iu shtua këtij operacioni, duke iu akorduar Komitetit
Ndërministror të Menaxhimit të Emergjencës me qëllim për tu përdorur për të
ndihmuar direkt të dëmtuarit.
I gjithë kontributi i dedikuar kësaj situate
emergjente përllogaritet në shumën 15 milionë lekë të reja.
Në situata të tjera emergjence gjatë viteve të
shkuara, Fondacioni Vodafone Albania ka dedikuar fonde të konsiderueshme për
komunitetet e dëmtuara nga fatkeqësi apo emergjenca humanitare.
Të tillë kanë qenë operacionet e ndihmave
humanitare me Kryqin e Kuq Shqiptar për popullatën e dëmtuar nga shpërthimi në
Gërdec; fondi për rindërtimin e shkollës në Gërdec; ndihmat emergjente ndaj
familjeve të pallatit të shembur në Gjirokastër, si dhe projekte të tjera që i
shtohen listës së gjatë të iniciativave të investimit social që Vodafone
Albania kryen nëpërmjet fondacionit të saj.

Foundation demonstrates more and more its support and commitment to help people
in need.
During January, the foundation was one of the
first institutions, which responded with commitment and rapidly to the
humanitarian emergency created from the floods in Shkodra.
The Executive Director of this foundation, Mr.
Albi Greva explains that in such emergency situations the most crucial thing is
the speed of reaction.
According to Mr. Greva, only a few days after
the floods had damaged hundred of houses and thousands hectares of land,
Vodafone Albania Foundation gave a rapid response to addressing the immediate
needs of the affected families by providing packages of food, utilitarian items
and blankets.
Thanks to this effective operation in
collaboration with the Albanian Red Cross 400 families from the most affected
areas in Livadhe, Bahcallwk, Vukatanw, Kuc dhe Ajasen had a direct benefit.
But the donations do not end here. In addition
to this assistance an amount of 11.000.000 ALL was granted to Inter-ministerial
Committee on Emergencies Management in order to be used to help directly the
affected people. The entire contribution dedicated to this emergency amounted
to ALL 15 million.
In other emergency situations during the past
years, Vodafone Albania Foundation has dedicated considerable funds to
communities affected by disasters or humanitarian emergencies.
Such operations were the humanitarian aid for
the population affected by the Gwrdec explosion; the fund for the Gwrdecs
school reconstruction; the emergency aid for the families of the collapsed
building in Gjirokastwr and other projects that add the long list of the social
investments initiatives that Vodafone Albania takes through its foundation.
